A bust of Ernest Malinowski, railway engineer, designer and builder of the Central Transandia Railway, considered one of the most important achievements in world engineering, is on display at the House of Peruvian Literature in Lima. This railway ascends from the Peruvian port city of Callao to the Ticlio Pass, located at 4818m above sea level, to reach the other side of the mountains to the city of Huancayo (3260m).
