A plaque commemorating the stay of Stanisław Wyspiański has been placed on the facade of the former "Nordbahn" hotel in Vienna (now the Austria Classic Hotel). The artist stayed at the Nordbahn in August 1904. The plaque, made of stone and bearing an engraved inscription in German, was placed on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Polish-Austrian Society in 1996.
