The Metrics of the Polish Nation is a two-volume, phototyped edition of the remarkable books that bear witness to the presence of Polish students at the University of Padua.

The pages of the publication are filled with photocopies of entries by Polish students - members of the student organisation known as the Polish Nation, founded in 1592. Among the ornate, poetic dedications are elaborate heraldic compositions, often true works of art. These include the coat of arms of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth opening volume one or the coats of arms of Bogusław Leszczyński, Franciszek and Jan Dembiński and Józef Antoni Częczkiewicz.

Prepared by the POLONIKA Institute, the publication makes this extraordinary work of art available for the first time not only to Polish and Italian, but also to a European audience. At the same time, the edition is part of the festive celebration of the 2022. 800th anniversary of the University of Padua.
