Tombstone monument to Zofia née Kicka Cieszkowska in the church of Santa Croce in Florence

In the Salviati chapel in the church of Santa Croce in Florence, there is a tomb monument to Zofia née Kicka Cieszkowska. The author of the work, created in 1873, was Teofil Lenartowicz. The bas-relief tomb monument in the form of a door symbolises the Gate of Eternal Life. The relief imitates a two-winged door, separated by a vertical stripe. The right wing depicts a stormy sea with a cross, an angel opening the door and personifications of the three divine virtues. The left wing depicts souls on an island symbolising purgatory, the rising sun and a soul heading towards the Tree of Life. The central strip depicts eight scenes from the prayer "Our Father".
