The memorial by Karel Lidický, located in the spa park in Jachymov, commemorates the discovery of radium by Marie Skłodowska-Curie and Pierre Curie. A T-shaped form has been placed on a massive concrete step, to which is attached a bas-relief panel depicting a woman leaning over a sleeping or dying man. A bronze plaque with an inscription in Czech was attached under the relief.
