Remains of the residence of Jan Andrzej Morsztyn at Châteauvillain

Châteauvillain is home to the remains of the residence of Jan Andrzej Morsztyn, poet and diplomat. He acquired the château in 1680, along with the title of Count of Châteauvillain and Marquis of Arc. He left for France as a consequence of being accused of high treason. It is one of the few remnants of the Morsztyn family to survive in France (his Paris hôtel and the palace at Montrouge were demolished).
