Wojciech Kurdziel (1933-2012), born in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, sculptor. He studied at the Faculty of Sculpture of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, studying in the ateliers of Professor Xawery Dunikowski and Associate Professor Wanda Ślędzińska. He obtained his diploma in 1958. He collaborated with Wincenty Kućma on the decoration of the Polish cathedral in Irkutsk on Lake Baikal.
