Biography:

Szymon Czechowicz (1689-1775), born in Kraków, son of Jan Czechowicz and Kunegunda, painter. In 1711 he began to study painting at the Academy of Saint Luke in Rome. In 1716, he received a prize from the Academy. He returned to Poland in 1731 and painted religious pictures and portraits.
