'Manus Ultimus' is a sculpture by Magdalena Abakanowicz, from the series 'Hand Trees'. Made of bronze, the work of the world-famous Polish sculptor, whose Latin title means 'the last hand', can be associated with a vertically erected human forearm or the hollowed out or rotten in the middle trunk of a tree, devoid of branches. The sculpture, created in 1997, was acquired by the French state and set up in the Tuileries Gardens in 2020
