St Ludwig's Church in Kraslaw was built thanks to the foundation of Konstantin Ludwig Plater and his wife Augusta of Oginskis. The church was built in the years 1755-1767 and its architect is said to have been Antonio Paracco. The church was to have served as the episcopal cathedral of the Diocese of Livonia, which did not happen due to the first partition of Poland in 1772. In 2018-2020, the Polonica Institute joined in the restoration work of the church, which had been ongoing since 2003.
