24 soldiers killed in the autumn of 1920 in battles with Lithuanian troops between Maišiagala and Širvintos are buried in a plot in the cemetery in Maišiagala. The names of 20 soldiers are known, 4 are unnamed. On 23 graves there are crosses with the personalities of the buried. The graves were tended, but gradually deteriorated. In 1989, on the initiative of the Mejszagolsk Circle of the Union of Poles in Lithuania, new crosses were erected in place of the destroyed ones (preserving their shape). The graves are placed in two rows. The main monument has the form of a simple Latin cross, set on a conical base in the shape of a pile of stones. On the front side there is a plaque with the inscription: "HONOUR TO THE FALLEN HEROES OF 1920". All gravestones have simple concrete grave field borders in the form of low walls sloping inwards. A simple Maltese cross (approx. 160 cm high) is set on the back wall of each grave. Prominent among the gravestones is the grave of Rudolf Adamus, on which a slab of red polished granite has been laid with the inscription: "Ś+P Rudolf Adamus sergeant 9 Komp. Novogr. P. Rifle. died a heroic death near the village of Kiejmnice on 21 list. 1920 r. Honour to his memory. To his unlamented colleague Corps of Subf. 80 pp. In 1934".The renovation of the cemetery was carried out in 2019 by the Foundation Aid to Poles in the East within the framework of the task subsidised by the programme of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage "Sites of National Remembrance Abroad".
