Gravestone of Apolonia Sarokulska

Burial place marked by a stele in front of which a gravestone on a base. Stele in stepped arrangement, tapering upwards. Engraved inscription on the front. On the tombstone an engraved inscription.

Additional information:

According to Wacław Wejtka's note of 12 July 1934, the monument, made of granite, was in the shape of a 'small post-mountain' with a 'small metal cross' at the top, with a 'cement fence'. The inscription on the gravestone was: S + P / z Niecieckich / Apolonja / SAROLULSKA / died 13 Jan. 1920 / at the age of 53 / Peace to her soul. //. This allows dating the tombstone after 1934. According to maps from the turn of the 1950s/60s, there was a band and a vertical element in this place. So the slab and base are most likely a later development.
