Tombstone of Klementyna Chludzińska

Burial place marked by a two-stage plinth on base. First step of plinth moulded, inscription engraved on front. The second step of the plinth in the form of a stele, an inscription engraved on the front.

HOŁD CNOTOM / UCZCZENIE PAMIĘCI / tu w Bogu spoczywa / jącej / Ś. P. / Klementyny / z Kossowów / CHLUDZIŃSKIJ / ur. 1814 zm. 1855 / Października 16 //. Ze łzą owdowiał[a] Męża / i płaczem osieroconych dzieci / połącz przechodniu pobożne / do Boga westchnienie za wieczny / pokój jej duszy //.

According to Waclaw Wejtko's file, the gravestone was originally topped with an iron cross on a copper sphere; 'under the wall of rp N 105 from the caretaker's house to the spare gate on the right'. Wejtko gives two versions of the inscription: Tribute to the virtues, honouring the memory / here in God resting / of Klementyna z Kossowów / Chludzińska / B. 1814. d. 1855 Oct. 16 / Sculp. I. Kozłowski // and Hołdom cnotom i uczczenie / pamięci tu w Bogu spoczywającej ś.p. Klementyny z Kossowów Chludzińskiej / (died: w 1855 r (?)) / With the tears of her widowed husband, with / the cries of her orphaned children, / join with the passer-by a pious sigh to God for / the eternal peace of her soul //.
