Tombstone of Franz Thienel

Тернопіль | Ukraine

The burial place marked by a tombstone on a base, at the head of which is a stele on a two-stage base. The stele on the left is framed by a cuboid, topped by an urn decorated with engraved geometric motifs. Below a relief carved cross. On the front of the stele an oval medallion with a relief image of a middle-aged man. The deceased with his hair combed smoothly to the side, facing 3/4 to the right, is dressed in a suit from under which a shirt and tie are visible. Below the medallion is an engraved inscription (1). Both steps of the base of the stele bordered with fluting and decorated with glazing. On the second step of the base, at the front, top left, an engraved signature of the artist. The tombstone on the sides surrounded by fluting and decorated with glazing, on which is an engraved inscription (2).
