Tombstone of the Paldlit family

Karviná | Czech Republic

The burial place marked by a cross on a double plinth, in front of it a rectangular band, in the centre of which a convex gravestone. Cross with arms ending in a rhomboid, at the intersection of which a medallion with the image of Christ wearing a crown of thorns inscribed in a Greek cross. The cross is surmounted on a separate two-stepped plinth with chamfered upper corners, the first step of which passes stepwise into the second step of the surmounted plinth. Inside a panel, the upper edge of which is closed with a three-cornered arch, within which is an engraved inscription (1), above which is a blank space for two photographs with floral ornamentation. Above them a photograph of two women framed by the same ornament. On the first step of the pedestal, a plate with engraved inscription (2) reattached, obscuring the original inscription.
