Tagiyev Palace in Baku

Taghiyev Palace, now the National Museum of Azerbaijani History in Baku. The building was constructed between 1893 and 1902 as the residence of the magnate Haji Zejnalabdin Tagiyev (Taghiyev). The architect was Jozef Goslavsky, who was active in Baku. In April 1920, the building was taken over by the Red Army. In June of the same year, the residences were turned into a museum, opened in 1921.
