Monika Sosnowska (1972-), born in Ryki, visual artist and author of installations. From 1993-1998 she attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań where she received her diploma in 1998. She then completed postgraduate studies at the Rijksakademie voor Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam in 1999-2000. In 2003, she was awarded the Baloise Prize at the Basel Art Fair, the same year she also received the Passport of Polityka in the field of visual arts.
