Biography:

Paulina Ołowska, born in 1976 in Gdańsk, painter, photographer and collage artist. Between 1995 and 1996 she studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and between 1997 and 2000 she studied painting and printmaking at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. She has received scholarships from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague, the Centro de Art Communication Visual (Arco) in Lisbon, the Center for Contemporary Art Kitakyushu and the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam. She created Pavilionesque magazine, dedicated to various aspects of contemporary art and theatre.
