Biography:

Zygmunt Lipiński (1873-1940), German painter and printmaker of Polish origin. He studied at the Prussian Academy of Fine Arts. In 1899, he won a competition to design the frescoes in the palace of the von Moltke family in Krzyżowa. He created in various techniques. From 1911, he produced works in etching and copperplate, and towards the end of his life he almost completely abandoned painting in favour of printmaking. He died in Rome.
