Biography:

Henryk Glicenstein (1870-1942), born in Turku, sculptor, painter and printmaker. From 1889 to 1895 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. In 1910 he became head of the sculpture department at the School of Fine Arts in Warsaw. In 1918 he moved to Rome and accepted Italian citizenship. In 1928 he moved to New York. He participated in numerous exhibitions in Berlin, Munich, Rome and Paris.
