Aleksander Duszyński, together with Juliusz Lewandowski and Ignacy Lemanski, one of the church collectors who made a deal with Father Kleopfer, pastor of the Canadian city of Berlin (now Kitchener). In return for helping to build the new St. Mary's church, the Polish parishioners were to receive the old church. The promise was not kept.
