Biography:

Alfred Lenica (1899-1977) was a Polish painter associated with the Kraków artistic community centred around Tadeusz Kantor. In his art, he gradually broke away from realism, drawing on Cubism, Tashism, Abstractionism, Surrealism and Dripping. He was keen to use lacquer and industrial paints, adding variety to the texture of his paintings.
