Biography:

Andrzej Kuhn (1929-2014), born in Lviv, painter and sculptor. After the Soviet deportation in 1940, he spent his childhood in Kazakhstan and the Middle East. From 1947 he lived in England, where in time he began studying art at the Chelsea School of Art. He created sculptures and paintings inspired by his childhood memories and Polish folk art. He lived and worked in the seaside town of Freiston Shore, which became his artistic refuge. He has exhibited at the Centaur Gallery and Goldmark Gallery, among others. His work is held in British public collections.
