Biography:

Bohdan Kazimierz Lachert (1900-1987), born in Moscow, son of Waclaw Wiktor Lachert and Wanda née Lipska, architect. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology in 1926. He was a co-founder of the Association of Polish Architects and the Praesens architectural group. In addition to architecture, he designed interiors, furniture, fireplaces, book covers, neon signs, posters, photomontages and monuments. In 1944, he joined the Planning and Reconstruction Office at the Polish Committee for National Liberation (PKWN) in Lublin. From 1945 to 1948, he was head of the Architecture and Engineering Department at the Capital Reconstruction Bureau. From 1948 he was a professor at the Warsaw University of Technology. He published in journals such as Architektura, Kamen and Przegląd Artystyczny.
