Biography:

Edward Starzyński (1792-1863), born in Podolia, son of Ludwik Starzyński and Salomea Fox-Potocka, landowner, marshal of the Olgopol district in the Podolia gubernia. Husband of Izabela Mostowska.

He died on 17th September 1863, in Paris, at his place of residence at 10, rue Godot de Mauroy. The death was reported by his son Bolesław Starzyński, residing in Paris at 8, rue de la Paix.

He was originally buried on 19th September 1863 in the Montmartre Cemetery (div. 5 row 7 gr. 34, concession 765P 1863). Transferred on 21 November 1906 to the Père-Lachaise Cemetery (annual number 603, concession 628-1875).

Hourglass: "On 17 September [1863], after a long and difficult illness, Edward Starzyński, former Marshal of the Olgopolski District in the Podolski Governorate, gave up his soul to God. The corpse of the deceased will be taken from his flat at No 10, rue Godot-de-Mauroy, to the church of St Magdalene, on 19 September at ten o'clock (without the corpse), from where, after a service, it will be placed in the tomb in the Montmartre Cemetery. The family of the deceased invites countrymen to give him a last Christian service. Eternal rest grant him, O Lord!", Paris, 17 September 1863".
