Biography:

Elna Gistedt-Kiltynowicz (1895-1982), Swedish opera and operetta singer. She lived in Warsaw from 1922 to 1944. During the Second World War she opened a café that provided actors and singers with work cards that exempted them from forced labour and from performing before the Germans. Gistedt also donated food to the ghetto and organised aid for sick children and the needy. She returned to Stockholm in 1944, but visited Poland several more times.
