In the cemetery in Louky nad Olší (Czech: Louky nad Olší - now within the administrative boundaries of the city of Karviná), in the central part, to the right of the main avenue, there is a mass grave of 4 inhabitants of the village of Polish nationality who were executed by the Germans on the morning of 8 September 1944. On 17 June 1945 the execution victims were buried in a common grave in the central part of the local cemetery.
In 1946, a monument was erected on the grave, which, in addition to the names of the 4 executed, also contains the names of all the Łąki inhabitants who lost their lives during World War II, including as a result of German executions, in concentration camps and prisons, or from exhaustion after returning home.
