Grave of Home Army soldiers in the cemetery

On 5 July 1944, 3 Germans were killed during an attack by a 17-man group from the Partisan Unit "Frycz" on a 130-strong detachment of German troops. Two Polish soldiers were killed: Jozef Skawiński "Rawicz" and Radzikowski "Kot". They were buried on 7 July 1944 at the cemetery in Dukszty Pijarskie. Two horned caps were carved on the gravestone monument. After 2001, the tomb was renovated, changing its form and leaving only the original inscription plaque. At present, the grave is made of concrete - the horizontal tombstone lies on a "base" of paving blocks, at the top of the grave there is a wave-shaped vertical concrete slab with a golden eagle - the emblem of Poland, below the eagle there is a niche with a black plaque with the image of Our Lady of the Dawn Gate, and even lower there is the original plaque with the inscription: "Died in the fight for free Poland soldiers of the Wileńska Brigade of the Home Army on 4 July 1944 "Rawicz" Józef Skawiński, "Kot" - surname unknown. May Poland dream of you".
