Graves of Home Army soldiers or World War II victims

In the cemetery of Dawciuny village, in the forest outside the village, several graves of young men who died a tragic death during the Second World War have been preserved. It has not been possible to establish whether they were members of some underground organisation or whether they lost their lives as a result of repression against the civilian population.
What draws attention is the tombstone topped by a figure of an angel, placed on the grave of Franciszek Iwaszka. The inscription reads: "Ś.P. / Franciszek / Iwaszko / died a tragic death / on 7 I 1945 / at the age of 23 / Peace to his soul". Just next to it is the grave of Stanislaw Zinkiewicz with the inscription "Zinkiewicz / Stanislaw / died on 7 I 1945 / at the age of 23", and a little further on - the grave of Piotr Kupczełajc with the inscription: "Ś.P. / Piotr / Kupczełajć / died a tragic death / in 1945 m. 35 l. / PK his soul / pm from his sister" (the inscription contains abbreviations of some words).
