Biography:

Jan Krug (1911-1988), Polish architect. Graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Lviv Polytechnic in 1939. Professor of the Faculty of Interior Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow from 1947 to 1987, and dean of this faculty from 1955 to 1957. In 1958 he was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Rebirth of Poland. He designed, among others, the Calvary of Panewnice (1936), the Towering Building of the Textile Centre in Łódź (1951–1955) and the Monument of Gratitude to the Red Army Soldiers in Sanok (1976/1977).
