Biography:

Joachim Karol Potocki (1725-1791), born in Trzebowa, son of Jan Kanty Potocki and Konstancja Sobieska, starosta of Trembowel and Grybovice, captain of the Armoured Mark. In 1755 he was appointed commandant of a dragoon regiment, and in 1758 promoted to the rank of lieutenant-general of the Crown army. In 1767, he took up the post of marshal of the Braclaw voivodeship in the Radom Confederation, and a year later of marshal of the Bar Confederation of the same voivodeship. In addition, in 1763-1780, he held the post of Grand Chamberlain of Lithuania.
