Biography:

Joanna Troikowicz (1952), born in Kraków. There she graduated from the Secondary School of Fine Arts and the Academy, majoring in sculpture, under Prof. Marian Konieczny. From 1977 she studied for two years at Stockholm's Royal Academy of Fine Arts. Since then she has lived in Stockholm, where she has realised many sculptures, located in public spaces. Since the 1980s she has taught sculpture at, among others, Konstskolan in Örebro, Konstfackskolan in Stockholm. She has won several awards, including the 'Selezioni Di Merito' at the 14th International Dantesca Biennale in 2003. Her works are also in many private collections around the world.
