Biography:

Józef Skarbek (1810-1868), born in Wielowieś, son of Jan Skarbek and Anna Konicka. Non-commissioned officer, he joined the Army of the Kingdom of Poland, fought in the November Rising in the 4th Infantry Regiment, and after its fall arrived in France in 1832. Husband of Jeanne Brousse, with whom he married on 21 September 1855 in Mont-de-Marsan. From this marriage he had children: Józef Emil Skarbek (1856-1887), Paweł Karol Skarbek (1857-1889), Marie Antoinette Adolfine Skarbek (1858-1860) and Marie Alexandra Poullier (1863-1932).
