Quarter in the parish cemetery of Polish Army soldiers killed in the Polish-Bolshevik war

In the left part of the parish cemetery is the grave of Polish soldiers killed in the Polish-Bolshevik war of 1920. It is one of several resting places of these soldiers in Grodno (the others are the military cemetery in Belusha Street and the Zeman cemetery). The cemetery section is situated at the level of the chapel and is formed by 150 tombstones, arranged in 7 rows. These are typical military graves - earth graves with concrete borders and a concrete cross with an inscription at the head. 88 soldiers known by name and 62 unknown are buried here. On the side of the plots, perpendicular to the rows of graves, a small main monument was placed with the inscription: "Cemetery of Polish soldiers killed in the Polish-Soviet war of 1920". The cemetery survived the Second World War and the communist period, although it was not spared some damage. In the 1990s, the devastated crosses were replaced with new ones that differed in form from the original ones. In 2020-2021, the quarters were renovated with funding from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Due to the considerable deterioration of the gravestone material, granite replicas were made, the main monument was cleaned and restored.
