Biography:

Ludomir Sleńdziński (1889-1980), Polish painter, sculptor and educator. He practised easel, wall and decorative painting. From 1929, he was an associate professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Stefan Batory University, where he became a full professor in 1938. From 1948 to 1956, he served as rector of the Krakow University of Technology. He was one of the founders of the Institute of Art Propaganda (IPS) in Warsaw. His works were exhibited at many exhibitions in Poland and abroad. His painting "Portrait of a Mother" won him a gold medal at the international exhibition "Art and Technology" in Paris.
