Biography:

Marek Żuławski (1908-19185) born in Rome, son of Jerzy and Kazimiera née Hanicka. He studied law at the University of Warsaw for two years. However, he abandoned this course and took up studies at the Warsaw School of Fine Arts. He studied there from 1926 to 1933, and among his teachers were Karol Tichy, Felicjan Kowarski and Leonard Pękalski. After graduating from the academy, together with Tadeusz Trepkowski he ran the graphic design studio "Atelier 33". Between 1932 and 1935, he had numerous exhibitions at the Institute of Art Propaganda in Warsaw. The artist's archive is held in the Archives of Emigration in the University Library in Toruń.
