Tombstone of Antoni Lazarowicz

Burial site originally marked by cast iron cross on plinth and base. Fragment of broken cross on plinth. The plinth tapering upwards with chamfered top edges. Engraved inscription to the front. Below an engraved cartouche with the Kościesza coat of arms. The gravestone together with monuments No. 15-24 enclosed by a common fence.

Inscription:

Ś. P. / Antoni / ŁAZAROWICZ / Assesor kolegialny / zm. 12 Kwiet. 1905 r. / mając lat 88 / - / Wieczne odpocznienie / racz mu dać Panie! //.

Inscription lines 2, 4, 5, 7, 8 in italics. According to Lucjan Uziębła's file, the gravestone was originally enclosed by a metal fence. In Wacław Wejtka's card file, under the letter Ł, card number 40, dated 1936. According to the file, the location of the gravestone is sector "E1". Description of the gravestone: "Grey granite monument with iron cross, enclosed with other monuments by an iron grate". Annotation in the file: ' The design of the gravestone inscription, handwritten by Lazarowicz from his manuscript. "Here rests / S. P. / Antoni Łazarowicz / Koll. Assessor of a long-serving / civilian gub., former citizen / of Vilnius district, insurgent / pensioner, Writer. Friend of servants and children . Born NN-1817 / Deceased NN / Passer-by asks for a sigh to God //. (handwritten on a scrap of paper in pencil)." The author of the file made a mistake in transcribing the order of the words: "Koll. Assesor (previously) clerk (2) long-serving (1)". Numbers in brackets on the card appear above the words. Antoni Lazarowicz was the author of the manuscript work on the Ross cemetery.
