Walking among the graves hidden among the trees in the Talma Avenue in sector 12 of the Père-Lachaise cemetery in Paris, one comes across the monumental tombstone of the Jarislowsky family. The tombstone was probably founded by the doyen of the family, a Polish-born banker and partner in the Adrien Bénard and Sigismond Jarislowsky bank established in 1885 - Sigismond Jarislowsky‛ego (1845-1932) on the occasion of the death of his wife Alice Rose née Fulda (d. 1904). The squat tomb structure consists of a stone, neo-classical tomb with cippus under a canopy with amphorae. The tomb is distinguished by bronze elements - a door giving access to the interior of the tomb, decorative bands with floral motif on the columns, a wreath with palm leaves and panels on the canopy with floral ornamentation in Art Nouveau style. Alice Rose and Sigismond Jarislowski are buried in the interior.
