Olgierd Rutkowski, born in 1930 in Vilnius, son of Witold Rutkowski and Matriona (née Rusanow), sculptor and industrial designer. He studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. His professors included Ludwika Nitschowa, Jerzy Jarnuszkiewicz and Jerzy Sołtan. He designed, among others, the Alfa camera, prototypes of WSK 125 motorbikes, televisions, closed-circuit television equipment and city surveillance cameras.
