Monument to the heroes of the struggle for independence in Sambor

In Sambor, there is a monument erected to honour the heroes of the struggle for independence. The monument has the form of a tall obelisk topped with a sculpture of an eagle. Below it is a cross and two plaques with inscriptions. One of them bears the dates: 1863, 1914, 1920, 1933. The central part of the monument bears the inscription: "HONOUR TO THE HEROES". In 1989. Poles living in Sambor renovated the monument, changing the plaques with their content at that time.
