Monument to Jan III Sobieski in Zhovkva

In 1903, the first monument to King John III Sobieski was unveiled in the Żółkwi market square. The monument presented a full-figure sculpture of the monarch, placed on a pedestal. In the central part of the pedestal was a plaque with an inscription, above which was a relief eagle. One of the side walls was decorated with the Pogoń coat of arms. The monument existed until 1919, when it was destroyed. Rebuilt in 1924, it survived until 1946.
