In St Joseph's Church on Kahlenberg in Vienna there is a statue of King John III Sobieski. It was from Kahlenberg Hill that he commanded the victorious Battle of Vienna against the Turks in 1683.

The sculpture is made of light-coloured stone and depicts the king in battle dress. Sobieski is wearing a chainmail, cloak and distinctive headgear with a plume.
