In Drohobych, there was a monument commemorating Józef Piłsudski. The monument, simple in form, was crowned by a sculpture of a crowned eagle. The front of the monument was decorated with a medallion bearing a portrait of the Marshal, and below was a plaque with the inscription: "TO THE COMMANDER OF THE NATION / OF REBORN POLAND / THE YOUTH".
