Cemetery with Polish gravestone monuments.

Completed works:
The subject of the works was the restoration and conservation of the tomb of the Beau family in the Montée de Silhol cemetery in Alès, where Konstanty Czyszkowski (1814-1870) was buried.

The repair of the brick wall was carried out by suturing the cracks with spiral rods and re-bricking, providing insulation and waterproofing, and cleaning the stone cladding from build-ups using chemical and mechanical methods. The unpreserved part of the Czyszkowski plaque was reconstructed, while the other plaques were unearthed, cleaned and restored to place. All were structurally and structurally reinforced, missing fragments were reconstructed and cavities were filled in.

The task was aimed at saving the few recently found material traces of the Great Emigration outside Paris, with the intention of reminding French circles and institutions of the contribution made by Poles to their local communities and of pointing out that the material traces of their presence are our common heritage, requiring care as much as French heritage.
