Biography:

Stefan Przezdziecki (1879-1932), born in Warsaw, son of Konstanty Przezdziecki and Elżbieta Plater-Zyberk. He studied law at St Petersburg University. He was a professional diplomat. He often visited the court of Nikolai Nikolayevich Romanov. In 1912, he was admitted to the Order of Malta. In 1918, when the Regency Council was established in Warsaw, he became its representative in Austria. In 1919, he was a full-time employee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He organised diplomatic protocol there. He was with President Gabriel Narutowicz at the Zacheta when the assassination took place. In 1928, he became an extraordinary deputy and minister plenipotentiary in Rome - soon afterwards, this position was transformed into an ambassador due to the establishment of an embassy. Thanks to him, the purchase of a licence for FIAT cars came about.
