Stefan Szolc-Rogozinski - traveller, explorer, ethnographer, organiser of the first Polish expedition to Cameroon in 1882. In order to create a base for the maritime exposition, he purchased the island of Mondoleh in Ambas Bay from the king of the Mondoli people. A commemorative plaque was placed on the wall of the palace of a descendant of the King of the Mondoli people, Dr Ekoka Andrew Molindo in February 2016. The edifice is located opposite Mondoleh Island which at one time belonged to Rogozinski.

In order to build the expedition's base, he bought Mondoleh Island, which lies off the coast of the modern city of Limbé , in Ambas Bay, from the king of the Mondoli people. I was a member of an expedition in Rogozinski's footsteps. As part of it, a plaque commemorating the Polish explorer was commissioned. In February 2016, it was placed on the wall of the palace of a descendant of the king of the Mondoli people, Dr Ekoka Andrew Molindo. The edifice is located near the coast of Ambas Bay almost opposite Mondoleh Island.
