Biography:

Tadeusz Łapiński (1928-2016), born in Rawa Mazowiecka, graphic artist. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where he studied painting under Artur Nacht-Samborski and graphics under Józef Pakulski and Józef Toma, receiving his diploma in 1955. In 1963, he decided to leave Poland. After spending some time in Yugoslavia, France and Brazil, he settled permanently in the United States in the second half of the 1960s. In 1972, he took up a professorship at the University of Maryland.
