Biography:

Wilhelm Sasnal (born 1972) was born in Tarnów. He completed primary school and technical school there. He studied at the Faculty of Architecture of the Tadeusz Kościuszko Cracow University of Technology (1992-1994) and then at the Faculty of Painting of the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. There, in 1999, he obtained his diploma in Leszek Misiak's studio. He was a co-founder of the "Ładnie" group. In his work, the artist expresses a socially committed attitude. He takes up important subjects, often strongly connected to the history of the country. He has had many exhibitions in many parts of the world.
