Biography:

Wincenty Kućma (1935), born in Zbelutka, sculptor, medallist and draughtsman. He graduated in 1962 from the Faculty of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. He has created numerous sculptures, including monumental ones, medals, drawings, and has also designed several sacred interiors. His work has won numerous prizes in competitions and his works can be found in private and public collections around the world. Some of his realisations include the sculpture 'The Rowing Man' in Doncaster (England), the architectural frieze 'Horizontal Composition' and fountain in Geneva, and the monumental sculpture 'The Idea of Copernicus' in New Delhi.
