Biography:

Władysław Folkierski (1890-1961) was a historian of French literature and professor at the Jagiellonian University. He was a member of the governing body of the People's Party. He was involved in political activity in exile, where he served as Minister of Congress Works and Religious Denominations and Public Enlightenment. He took an active part in the functioning of, and served as President of, the Polish Scientific Society Abroad. In 1926, he became a member of the National League. He was involved in the activities of the national camp. In 1939, he left for England. Academically, he researched the influence of French literature on Polish authors.
